About the KLX 150
A manual-gearbox dual-sport with long-travel suspension, knobbly tyres and a tall seat. The KLX is the standard rental trail bike across Indonesia.
Who it suits
- Off-road
- Volcano tracks
- Experienced riders
The bike for riders who want to get onto the trails around Batur or the west of the island. Light enough to pick up, simple enough to be fixed anywhere.
On Bali roads
Popular for guided volcano and jungle rides. Uncomfortable and buzzy on long tarmac transits.
Worth knowing. Tall seat, a clutch, and a manual-motorcycle entitlement plus IDP required. Very few shops in this index rent one.

What a scooter actually costs in Bali
Published prices from every rental shop we can find, shown as the shop’s own total and as a comparable rate per day.
None of the 13 shops here say which version they rent. Ask before you pay.
Almost every shop delivers. Expect the scooter brought to your villa, hotel or the airport and collected again, usually free within the shop’s own area and for a small fee beyond it. 3 of the 13 shops here publish the areas they cover; the rest simply never wrote it down. Confirm the pickup point when you message them.

Rate for 1 month is what you pay per day once the shop’s own discount tiers are applied, and not the daily rate multiplied out.
Shops that publish no 1 month price, and no shorter rate we could work from, are shown as quote on request. For those we show nothing at all rather than invent a figure.
Greyed prices with a ≈ are our estimate, not the shop's. Those shops publish no 1 month rate, so we worked one out from the longest rate they do publish, using the discount that 855 shops in our data actually give for a longer stay. We round that discount the cautious way, so the real price is usually lower than the figure shown. Ask the shop for their own number before you book.
