About the XSR 155
A geared 155cc retro roadster, not a scooter. It needs a clutch, a motorcycle entitlement and an IDP, and very few Bali shops stock one.

For people who ride motorcycles at home and do not want a scooter. The 17-inch wheels and real suspension make Bali's mountain roads genuinely enjoyable in a way no scooter manages, and it has the range for a full day out.
On Bali roads
Excellent on the Bedugul and Munduk roads and the climbs to Kintamani. Impractical for shopping: there is no under-seat storage at all.
Worth knowing. 810mm seat, a clutch, and no luggage space. Needs a motorcycle entitlement on your home licence plus an IDP; expect police checks to take an interest.
